cinnamon-kissed cookies with honey cream frosting, grain-free

This is a twist of the basic grain-free cookie recipe I posted a while ago.  I was reading about the health benefits of honey and cinnamon on my cousins' blog and was reminded by my son that very day that everything tastes better with frosting!  Combined, the 2 events equaled INSPIRATION!  (thanks, Jess!)  The little one also happened to be a bit sniffly, so...time for a yummy/healthy new recipe!  These really just melt in your mouth and leave you with that little bit of spice...so delicious!

Cinnamon-kissed Cookies (grain-free)
1 3/4 Cup Almond Flour
1/4 Cup Raw Honey
1/4 Cup Organic Butter
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Himalayan Salt
1/4 tsp Baking Soda

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
3. Mix all ingredients and roll spoonfuls of dough into circles.
4. Flatten to discs on parchment and sprinkle with cinnamon.
5. Bake for 8-10 minutes, be careful to watch the bottoms for burning.

Honey Cream Frosting
1/4 Cup Organic Butter
1/4 Cup Raw Honey
1 Tbsp Heavy Cream or Whole Milk (preferably raw)
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Vanilla

*Whip all ingredients together, spread on a cooled cookie and feel free to add another cookie on top (don't mind if I do!)
